well, it's been so long since i've posted and so much has happened.  the big thing that i've been waiting on is SUMMER!  this is the worst time of year here in chicago-land because everywhere else summer is creeping in.........but here, it's still cold and rainy.  we had a few good days last month, but don't let that deceive you.  it's not time to pack up the jackets and such.  not till atleast june.  it's funny cause when people move here from warmer states, they make the mistake of packing up the winter junk as soon as we have a few good days and then they get blasted.  and don't let the fact that it's mid to late may fool you.  winter does not like to let go.  but it could be worse.  i still pulled out the flip flops today.  and if you are one of my oklahoma friends.........no need to rub it in.  i know it's been pretty nice there lately.  i just called someone a couple of days ago who was at the pool......

i know i'm a bad xanga user.  so i'll understand if no one ever reads or comments to me on xanga again.  i'm not dedicated enough.

    happy may 18th.

on saturday, we hung out with 2 other couple and died easter eggs. then we had an awesome easter egg hunt. it was dark so we wore these funny head lamps and pushed eachother around in the yard as we ran around looking for the most eggs.

brandon and i lost.........we usually do. but, i redeemed myself the next day at darts.

    hey everybody,

i'm sitting here by the fire drinking coffee at our church.  it's sweet.  if the weather sucks, and it usually does here, i recommend a fire.

we officially have a new roommate now!  our friend from oklahoma rolled into town yesterday and we are so glad to have him here.  he is really excited about his new job.

well, i don't have anything great to share.  no new revelations or thoughts.  honestly, it's 8am so it's hard to think about much right now.  i hate getting up early.  it makes my entire day suck.  maybe as i grow older this will change BUT i really doubt it....

    how about you?

  • well, we've had alot of visitors since i posted here last.  and on tuesday we had a suprise birthday party for our friend wes.  it was pretty fun and  i think he felt loved.  since he turned 24, everyone brought 24 items that reminded them of wes.  this actually turned out to be a really cool thing.  thanks scott for the idea!

so- i'm sitting here working, well not really, and alot of men are outside my window doing yard work.  i am having a hard time staying motivated this morning so i keep watching them mow and rake the millions of leaves that are spread around our entire campus.  it got me thinking..........isn't it weird what we do as americans to keep everything looking perfect and beautiful?  my mother in law cleans her cement driveway everyday.  she even gets mad when we get mud on the porch.  not to mention that we aren't allowed to use any of her "nice" things because we'll mess it up.  but, i do appreciate how beautiful our buildings and such look around here.  but to tell you the truth i would rather be out in the country somewhere.

oh yeah, i had a dream 2 nights ago that i had a baby named maximus 1, 11, and 111 and Jackie from the television show Roseanne delivered him in Jewel-our grocery store.  then last night i dreamed that i could fly.  i had a kid, who was a rooster, and i was flying over the ocean looking for it and i saved it from a shark.  then, i got a bunch of aunt bites at the beach.

    i know.  i'm weird.
